Beckett, Samuel. OHIO IMPROMPTU, CATASTROPHE, WHAT WHERE

$5,000.00

New York: Beckett Theatre, [1983]. The correct first edition. 4to. Three one-act, stripped-to-the-bone narratives. One of 50 copies that were sold prior to the premiere of the off-Broadway production. Precedes the Grove Press edition by a year. Brad-bound in maroon leatherette covers. This copy is inscribed by the author: "For William Targ with all good wishes, Sam Beckett." The recipient was a book editor, publisher, and Beckett collector. Targ's wife, Roslyn, was Beckett's literary agent. Fine and highly uncommon, especially inscribed.
