Distributed by publisher Marie Dern and initialled by her in pencil shortly after Carver's death in an unknown (but surely small) number of copies. The poem, dated but two days before the poet's death, evocatively juxtaposes a cobweb touching his head with musings about his imminent demise: "A fine thread. Intricate. Before long, before anyone realizes, I'll be gone from here." Among the very scarcest of Carver "A" items. Fine. Framed under museum glass. Broadside
