(Bruce, Lenny). HEAVILY CORRECTED TYPESCRIPT

$1,750.00

of the Liner Notes for the LP Phonograph Recording of Bruce's "The Berkeley Concert." Berkeley: Reprise Records, 1969. The seven-page typescript contains some 2000 words and was written by Ralph J. Gleason, the San Francisco-based syndicated columnist and co-founder of Rolling Stone Magazine. Included is the original two-record album which has long been out-of-print, and whose jacket sleeve prints the text of Gleason's essay. With a 1971 TLS from Gleason requesting some photographs of Bruce from the comic's mother, Sally Marr. The Berkeley Concert was Bruce's last and is widely considered his best. A Lenny Bruce artifact of compelling interest. Fine.
