Everson, William. PROSPECTUS FOR THE EQUINOX PRESS, 1947.

$1,250.00

Single folio sheet (13" x 20"). A two-color broadside with a lovely woodcut by Mary Fabilli. The Equinox Press published but one title, Everson's "A Privacy of Speech," which he himself printed on a handpress in an edition of 100 copies, and which is widely considered an exemplar of American printing. The prospectus here offered consists of more than 500 words in which Everson spells out his philosophy of poetical composition and the pains taken by him to print the book along classical lines. The prospectus is itself a rare piece of ephemera. Matted and framed under museum glass. This copy is enhanced by Everson's signature. Fine. Broadside
